Ken Kubiesa and David Gower have collected over $1.66 million on executory contracts, administrative and unsecured claims on behalf of two (2) German national clients, Bolz GmbH and Hell Gravure Systems GmbH & Co. in the Quebecor World bankruptcy case pending in the New York Bankruptcy Court.  Quebecor World is the second largest printing company in the world, who recently filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy.  Currently, the Reorganization Plan for Quebecor World is before the creditors for approval, and the likelihood is that it will be approved, and that Quebecor will emerge from Chapter 11 sometime later this year or early 2010. 

In a case he handled, Andrew Acker, one of the firm’s appellate lawyers, reports that the Appellate Court of Illinois, Second District has upheld a decision in favor of the firm’s client, City of Oakbrook Terrace in a case involving the development of 80 acres along Butterfield Road at 22nd Street in the City owned by Robert Krilich.  The Appellate Court filed its opinion on June 3, 2009, which affirmed the dismissal of Robert Krilich’s Complaint seeking damages from the City of Oakbrook Terrace for Inverse Condemnation.
