Mia S. McPherson is an associate in the law firm of Kubiesa, Spiroff, Gosselar & Acker, P.C. Mia received her Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana and her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law, Chicago, Illinois.
During law school Mia was a 711 clerk at the Cook County Public Defender’s Office working in the felony trial and murder task force divisions. After graduating she worked as an Assistant Public Defender for DuPage County for six years. There she handled thousands of criminal cases including traffic, driving under the influence, misdemeanor, and felony cases. She has tried numerous jury trials, bench trials and evidentiary hearings. She also has experience in both paternity and child support. In addition, while at the Public Defender’s Office she also litigated civil commitment hearings. Since leaving the Public Defender’s Office Mia is concentrating on municipal code and driving under the influence prosecutions.
Mia is a member of the DuPage County Bar Association.
