Andrew Y. Acker

Andrew's practices in the areas of municipal defense litigation, eminent domain and civil rights litigation, and real estate. He is a member of the Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois and litigates cases throughout the six counties of Greater Chicago. He represents municipalities and developers in DuPage County and the suburbs of Chicago as to the purchase and construction of public structures, office buildings and commercial properties both within and outside of Tax Increment Financing (TIF) districts.

Andy's expert and successful reputation in personal injury defense matters has saved millions of our municipal clients dollars in civil rights and personal injury claims ranging from sidewalk injuries to alleged police misconduct, and catastrophic injury cases.

He is a native of Sharon, Pennsylvania and comes from a family of lawyers. Andrew first worked as a research attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals in Detroit before taking a position as law clerk to the Honorable Judge Tom M. Lytton, of the Illinois Appellate Court, Third District, Moline, Illinois. Andrew has since practiced in DuPage County as a litigator for the last 20 years.
