Ken Kubiesa has practiced law for 35 years in DuPage County, Illinois. He began his career as a real estate and franchise attorney for McDonalds Corporation in Oak Brook, Illinois. The business and municipal transactions he has handled throughout his many years of law practice include those representing banks, not-for-profits, individuals, corporations, partnerships, construction companies, development partnerships and limited liability companies, franchisors, franchisees and other businesses and corporations of all kinds.
Ken has been city attorney for Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Oak Brook Terrace, Westmont and Downers Grove. He continues to represent various Illinois Park Districts and other government agencies.
He has served in many advisory and honorary positions during his years in practice, including as a member and Chairman of a Hearing Panel of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission, a Director of the Ray Graham Association for People with Disabilities and Director of the Elmhurst Economic Development Commission. He is a graduate of the Court Practice Institute and a Fellow of the International Municipal Lawyers Association (one of only two so designated by the IMC in Illinois).
Ken has tried over 200 cases before all courts in northern Illinois. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association, the Federal Trial Bar for the Northern District of Illinois, the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also a frequent speaker on legal issues involving business law and litigation subjects.
